Hong Kong China Temple Patron Housing Rules April 10, 2010

First of all, we would like to welcome you to the patron housing. We welcome you and are grateful that you are able to spend the next few days doing temple work. This is an extension of the Hong Kong China Temple. The temple is the House of the Lord and it is a house of order and the same with the patron housing. We expect you to do your part to maintain order and cleanliness while staying here in this beautiful facility.

The manager of the patron housing is Sister Cheung and she is here to give you instructions and answer your questions. Don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t know how things work. She will be glad to help you. Following are rules for staying in the temple patron housing:

1. The first thing you will need to do is to make your bed with the bed sheet, next you will put the cover on the blanket and the pillow in the pillow case. (Sister Cheung will demonstrate how it is done.)

2. On the day of your departure you will need to Take off the bed sheet, remove the cover from the blanket and pillow case from the pillow and wash and dry them. Fold them nicely and place them on the bed for the next person.

3. The washers and dryers are for your convenience. If you only have one or two articles of clothing you should wait to accumulate more before using the washing machine. Read the instruction before using the machine. Ask Sister Cheung if you are not sure how to use it. (Sister Cheung will train some sisters to work on the washer and dryer.)

4. Keep your room clean and orderly. Each morning you should make the bed, tidy up the room, clean up the shower, the toilet and the sink before leaving.

5. Do not write on the walls. Do not allow your children to write or draw on the walls.

6. Be careful with the electrical appliances such as the television and children should not operate them without adult supervision.

7. Do not eat inside your room. All eating should be done in the dinning area.

8. For cooking in the kitchen, wash all the cooking utensils after each use and return them to its place in the cupboard. Clean up after eating.

9. Do not leave your children unattended. We do not provide baby sitting service and you must look after your children. You should always have an adult to stay behind to take care of them. When children are outside playing at the front yard or at the back yard, there must be an adult to supervise them at all time.

10. You cannot invite guests to stay with you. Only authorized persons can stay in the patron housing.

11. You are to do at least two ordinances a day while staying in the patron housing.

12. The air conditioner is all set for you and all you needed to do is to push the start or stop button.

13. If there is someone coming in on the day you leave you will need to pack all your suitcases and move them to the storage room and then clean up your room as well as doing the laundry by 9:00 am Sister Cheung will need to get the room ready for the next group.
